Subaru Cooling System Conditioner. Needed or equivalent?

Hi all,

Next, flushing the cooling system. It's seems easy enough to drain and replace the thermostat and gasket.

But Subaru Cooling System Conditioner? It is mentioned, but it seems like many people don't use it. Am I wrong? Also, is there an equivalent that doesn't need to be bought at the stealership?

Cheers!

Yeah it's basically stopleak and not recommended by the Australian dealerships.
Which means the parts department won't even sell it to you.

You don't actually need it unless you have a subaru that is known to have headgasket issues.

Yours should be fine.
