Leak in wagon boot (not sunroof)

Postby Niccy94 » Mon Sep 12, 2016 8:01 pm

G'day guys
I have a 05 Lib GT Wagon. Recently I have been noticing after heavy rain (my car is parked outside), that their seems to be a fairy decent amount of water on my boot matt. I looked around the net to find the culprit which pointed me to the sunroof. However, having ran a couple bottle of hot soapy water through the tray with no blockages anywhere, I am fairly confident it wasn't the sunroof drainage.

Can anyone think of any other possible reasons and ways to fix this?

Cheers

Is your headliner wet when the water gets in?
I would've suspected the sunroof as well. When the drains overflow, the roof liner gets wet.

But since it probably isn't in your case, the only other area I can think of is the boot lid seal.

I'd suggest getting someone to turn a hose on, and wet all around the areas that could leak. And with someone inside, they can see where the water comes through.
