Install power outlet in cargo bay of MY06 wagon?

Postby Ric » Tue Oct 14, 2008 7:00 pm

The Legacy service manual shows there is wiring for a power outlet in the boot, and there is an obvious position to install it inside the flap that opens on the left.

Has anyone done this?
What's the easiest way to get the trim off?
Did you use the intended location (which requires you to open the flap to get at), or did you install the socket elsewhere?

Australian Libertys have the 12V plug in the same location, but the plug with the trailer signals is on the other side of the car.

If anyone wants to take some photos of an Australian model, please contact me.

Alzheimers! ;)
I posted that one day and two years ago. I thought I'd seen it somewhere :D

I've just done the same on my wife's Suzuki, and it was a doddle (because they provide a small removable panel which gives you access without having to remove the entire trim.)
