Superficial scratches on inside of front windscreen

Postby Scooby2 » Tue Aug 16, 2016 12:52 pm

Hi, I've noticed 3 (hopefully) superficial fine scratches on the inside of my windscreen.

Any suggestions on best way to try removing them - true, tried and tested ways please.

Thanks

Glass is MUCH harder to polish than paint. If it's really noticeable, the best bet is to replace the whole glass.
It also depends on where the scratch is. Hopefully not in the driver's line of sight. Because if it was polished, the scratch would come out but the area would become distorted.

But what you need is glaziers' rouge (cerium oxide) and a polisher. You can try it with hand polishing, but it's only good for very light scratches.
