ummm u have to put the head light into an oven, thats all i no haha. Which softens the glue or something then you can take it apart.

if its a stone chip then it might be worth replacing it...... must have been a hard hit to crack the polycarbonate

its only a small crack at the top but i want to remove the whole assy from the car, is it a major job or just a few bolts that holds the unit in place

Taking the light off wont be the hard part, taking the lens off of the light assembly will be a prick, thats if its what your gonna do.

Best to have a hair dryer & a bit of patience to warm up the glue seal so its easier to take apart. Maybe the oven trick would be a better option :?

Id try sourcing a second hand headlight assembly, might be easier?
Cheers,

Rosso.

Think you might need to remove the bumper to get the light off, I showed some pics when I took off my bumper this might help.

Great pics! But yes, I do believe you are right. There should be 2 screws covered up by the front bumper.

Let it warm up until all the condensation is gone, then seal crack/hole with silicon or super glue if its a crack.
