Hard to describe. 08 wagon, with optional weather shield - enables you to drop the windows an inch without taking rain in. #$%^& broke up at the front and started scratching the paint, so I have pulled it out of the clips.

How do I get the #$%%^ clips out ? Its not clear how they are held in place - fold back under the rubber seals ?

Really irritated by this!

thanks

I recently replaced my window rails and refreshed my door seals at the same time, I'd say the process for removing the clips might be similar.
Unseat the door seals near the clip area revealing the seal retention sockets on the window rails/trims, remove the screws that hold the clips to the window rails, do em up n reseat the door rubbers. Lmk if you need a hand :)

Thanks, will give it a try. Assume the rubber seals push into grooves in the body top and bottom?

Well....I attacked the front clip without removing anything, and with the rubber pushed back, and a twist with needle nosed pliers, it came out easily. Good, next.
No chance with no 2, much gnashing of teeth and pliers, trying not to mark anything. Lets try no 3- easy , same as 1. 4,5,6 all easy. Mmmmmm. Up to pc, do a generic search, find viewtopic.php?f=20&t=24998. No 2 has a screw through it!
The rubber seal is called a 'run channel' - who would have guessed that? The deflector thing is called a 'side visor'. Sheesh.
Anyway, pulled the rubber away around No 2, found the screw, clip is out, rubber is back, only a few marks on the roof finisher, whatever thats called - 'roof mold'.

thanks
