So I'm trying to restore my headlights clearness by wet sanding with 1500 then 2000 and then spraying a clear top coat. But I'm getting these cracking sort lines all over the headlight.

I've tried sanding Inbetween coast but it doesn't stop it from happening.

Anyone had the same issue or know what I'm doing wrong?

If it's crazing in the polycarbonate, there's not much to be done afaik.
