is there anyway of tightening it up?
when its in sports auto (not manual shift) mode it changes nicely when on the gas peddal, but when i have it in manual shift mode its quite sluggish even if my foots on the floor, just wondering if there is anything that can be done so that when its in manual mode it shifts quick and hard everytime?

There are ways but I think very expensive, like a few grand at least.

sucks, as much as i love the auto in the gt, i thinks its the best auto ive ever driven but i just thought manual mode would be a lot more punchy.. i find i get far bettere straight line acceleration in sports mod rather than manual mode, and thats same accelaration and changing at the same rev range.
it feels like when in manual mode it shifts quicker as your foot is going down on the pedal rather then when its down- ifeel like the lag is mostly caused by the computer at some point so there must be some way to trick it into changing hard and fast at any speed/acceleration

You could probably over come that with a good tune & a few mods

heheheheh
Because my car has had a custom tune, we I did a few things like remove the intake resonator & put on a full atmo BOV, I noticed my car was a little bit odd in accelleration... But that didn't matter what mode I was in. Perhaps you're paying more attention to the car in manual mode...?
I remember reading in a previous post that the auto switches to 50-50 F-R when put in manual mode for the first 2 gears. If that's true, that could explain why it feels different.

yeah a tune is on the list, i already have a 50/50 BOV.
its not that i pay it more attention in manual as i really dont use it to often- i do alot of driving during the day for work not including personal driving so i have alot of time to play with it lol, its definitly more sluggish in manual..

When I said 50-50, I ment it in regards to power transfer to the wheels. IE 50% Front, 50% Rear when in manual mode - As I said, I remember reading a post about it awhile back - Can someone confirm if its correct?

lol yeah i no, sorry should have worded it better i mean i have a 50% atmo BOV- just testing around the manual just then- it seems that it shifts quicker when the throttle is only on about a quarter down, when full throttle it seems to labour a bit as tho preparing for the change or something...
