Pulling apart the Centre console

Hi guys, I'm new here.
I've looked through the forums and there doesn't seem to be a guide to pulling apart the centre console. I'm just wondering if people have done it and how they went about it? As I would like to replace the sliding cover over the drinks holder. My car is a 2004 3.0R.
Cheers in advance

In the prefacelift cars there is the sliding "roller-desk" type cover over the centre drinkholder or storage area.

At the rear of the bin pocket [under the hinging lid and under the fabric mat - if you still have it] are two M6 screws with Phillips and 10mm A/F Hex heads. These need to be removed.
The handbrake lever has a "cover" that clips into the side of the console. This simply pulls of with a bit of force with some pops and crackles as the clips come out.
There are two plastic push=in type clips at the front which engage into the plastic molding surrounding the gear lever boot. The centre console needs to be pulled up and these should pop out.

Look hear for a "reasonable" exploded view.

Also, this is for left hand drive, mirror-image the picture.

Okay, cheers. That was very helpful. It only took about 20 mins from starting to finish it
