Hi all,
I'm on my P1's and I wanted to just play around and do some basic mods for my car. One of these was changing the air filter to a pod filter.
I popped the hood and played around with the air filter in the engine bay.
I found that there was a MAF sensor attached to the air filter box. This meant that I couldn't install the pod filter without getting rid of the MAF sensor which was crucial to my cars performance. I was wondering if anyone had any advice to how I would approach this problem?
I've been researching and apparently I need a tube/pipe with an MAF sensor adapter/housing on it which I could unscrew the current one, replace the pipe then screw the MAF sensor back on. By doing so I can attach my pod filter to the end of the new pipe.
Would anybody have any idea how I would go about finding this new pipe with the MAF sensor housing on it? Or would I fabricate my own?
Below is a link of the exact model of my car:

Please find attached a sample image of my engine bay. As you can see, the MAF sensor is attached to the pipe which is moulded to the air filter box.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks all,
