Central Locking from the inside

Hi
I recently purchased the 2011 liberty 2.5 and have a question about central locking.
In previous cars ive owned that weren't Subarus i am aware that if the driver is seated in the car and all doors are unlocked, the driver is then able to lock their door from inside drivers seat and all other doors will instantly lock.

However in my liberty this is not the case, it will only lock the drivers seat door and all other doors remain unlocked.
Im not sure if this is a fault, or if central locking on subarus doesnt lock all doors while seated inside but if you can tell me if this is normal or worth taking back to the dealer and getting them to fix it would be appreciated .

Cheers
Roreto

Hi there,

Please excuse the question, as it will help clarify what is happening?
When you say that all the doors do not lock, are you.....
(1) trying to centrally lock the car from the locking button on the driver's door;
(2) trying to centrally lock the car from the button on the key fob?
Cheers!

Gen 4 has a switch by the window switches on the drivers door to centrally lock all doors. Is this not the case for the Gen 5?

Hi
When im seated inside the drivers seat i try to use the door latch near the door opener to lock all doors but it only will lock my drivers door. I want all doors to lock from inside when im driving.
Unless there is another way to do this?
Thanks for replying.
