I have a 2007 wagon and want to be able to turn the dome light on from the drivers seat.

Is there a button somewhere I am missing?

If there is no button, could I wire up my own button as simply as wiring up a momentary switch that grounds the door pins (acting like a door is open)?
Or would the car not like a door opening while it is moving?
I was thinking of putting the switch/button next to the instrument dimmer in one of the blank spaces there -anyone know what these blanks were used for?

Anyone done a similar mod to this?

There should be a switch behind the light with 3 options. On. Off. Door

Yeah i knew that switch was there - it is set to Door currently.

I want a way to turn the dome light on from the drivers seat - it is very hard to reach back and flick that switch from the drivers seat.

A stick?

Leave it on "door" and open the drivers door to the first click when you want the light on?
