Fog lights turn on under braking?

Hi all,

Not sure what to say other than the above! When braking in my MY08 2.5i Liberty the fog lights turn on, foglight switch is on, headlights and parker switch off (so should stay off).

The foglights are LED ones, and brake lights are too except for the third light. Any ideas?
The headlight indicator on the dash turns on dimly as well when braking too. Could this be an issue with a bulb?

Brake lights and rear parking lights have a minor short. Power to brake lights activates parking light circuit.
I bet it the fog switch was in the off position, the fogs wouldn't come on, but I bet the front parkers WOULD come on.
Change left hand brake light, and test, if problem still exists change right hand brake light. It will be one or the other or both. Use regular globes not LEDS when testing...

Sounds like an earth fault at one on the brake light bulbs?

Sounds like your new stop/tail globes are feeding the park circiut with voltage when the brakes are applied.

Ill bet money that if you refit the std bulbs, all wil be good.

Hmm, thanks all for the advice

I'll poke around. I figured something was up with the bulb i replaced. Had LEDs for a while, one blew recently and this started shortly (not instantly, mind you) after i replaced the blown bulb with an exact copy.

Is it a dual filament type? If it's inserted incorrectly it could be shorting the brake and park circuit
