Inspired by McDoof's post regarding the Torque Solutions and Perrin Short Shift adaptor, I thought that I my try and do my own?
(McDoof's post here viewtopic.php?f=6&t=30271)
Being a long weekend and with too much time on my hands, I modified a standard 5MT shift lever for an adjustable short shift solution.
presently it is a prototype and the prototype is adjustable between a minus10% throw length to a minus 25% throw length.
My plan is to prove the prototype on Junior's car before setting out to perform the modification on my 6MT lever.

The thread and lock-nut allow the ball to be repositioned to adjust the throw of the short shift lever.
UPDATE - Thursday 11th June 12:50pm
Well, with the "proof of concept" manufactured I have started working on an adjustable Short Shifter for my 3.0R-B 6MT.
The lever will be original length/height to maintain standard appearance. The throw length will be adjustable.
The mechanism will be "fully adjustable" with step adjustable settings for the connection to the Gear Shifter Rod, to maintain correct upper and lower clearances to the transmission tunnel.
Been busy on the lathe turning parts up, etc.
Will post progress pictures soon.
Cheers!
UPDATE
Did not work!
The Shift Lever in the Liberty is a different style.
Back to the first option.
