Hey Guys i tried searching for this but didnt have any luck..

MY 07 GT SpecB liberty, its currently stock as a rock so this will be my first mod..

I want to purchase and install a BOV for that added noise when shifting..

Can this be done by me? easy bolt on and off.. or do i need to go see a professional to do this?

Also i have no idea which BOV to buy.. there are soo many to choose from, how do i know whats right for me?

Sorry for the noob questions im only new to the turbo world as i have crossed over from VTEC lol

Thanks

Adam

Hi adam,

The two typical bov setups that lib owners have is the GFB Hybrid GT, and the HKS SSQV. To help you decide which is right for your taste, do a search on youtube as they both sound very different from each other.

Make it 3 setups as most of the funeral guys including myself use Greddy Type S.

ok cool.. i found some vids on youtube and posted some links incase anyone else interested

HKS SSQV - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dMfMry2SJaA

GFB Hybrid GT - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VCepSncGVR0

Greddy Type S - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FszbPFnxZKE

The greddy type S is a comparison between Greddy Type S , Type RS and HKS SSQV

i am torn between the SSQV and Greddy...

Venting to atmo messes with the air reading and gives decreased fuel economy.. but yeah, the ones above are the best for this..

Yeah but its plumbed back. Greddy Typs S is plumbed back aswell. Not sure about the others.

The atmo ones are the ones that sooobi is referring to.

It may not be much, i dunno..

Prolly only a couple of hundred bucks worth every year..

Life's too short, if you want pssssht go for it! Although, if you get a large, short intake and a heavier-than-stock plumb-back, you still get the noise..

The Type-S has not been made or sold for over a year now

the replacement is the Type-RS and for just over $300 you get a full fitting kit for the liberty in which you can use plum back or ATOM (but only one or the other)
