Fitting Sat Nav from 07 Liberty 2.0R to 07 Liberty tbSti

Postby munkymagik » Sun Mar 22, 2015 11:32 pm

Hi everyone,

I have a 2007 Liberty 2.0R which came with the factory sat nav unit. I have just purchased a 2007 Liberty Tuned by STI and I want to transfer the sat nav into my new ride.

I'm wondering how easy this is to do and if it's as simple as removing the screen, DVD unit and cables from my old car and plug and play in the new car?

I hope this makes sense and any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks

Tan

Where is the DVD drive? In the glovebox? If so, you'd have to swap the dash harness as well (dash out from memory).

Pretty sure the plugs are different between the McIntosh and Kenwood (which I'm assuming the 2.0R has).

DVD drive is in the glovebox. Seems like a complicated job?

Ah ok. So would this mean I would need new plugs to get this all working? I'm not sure what unit is in the 2.0R. It doesn't have the McIntosh markings on it so assuming Kenwood?
