Hi,

I am having problems trying to figure out what this plug is. It was found right under the shifter surround in my car and I have no idea what it is. Can anyone help identify what it is.

Where does the cable go.. shifter surround is generally home to a lot of aftermarket crap because it's easy to put it in there (I know that area on my car has the O2 sensor controller and the anylink)

My problem is it goes right into the carpet. It looks like a factory sort of thing but I can't tell.

just speculation, but hand brake sensor for the sat nav screen?

Auto or manual?

edit - manual i see from your other posts. I was going to speculate further if it was auto...

I found out what this plug is for. For future reference, the subaru dealership must have thought to include the TMC controller plugs incase Subaru facefits ever managed to inherit SUNA. This is what the plug is for and is factory.

ahh, cool!

I was looking through the workshop manual and couldn't see that, very handy info!

Did the cable run to the back of the screen, or the actual DVD Drive in the glovebox?

I'd be keen to know if anyone's fitted the KNA-TM320 Unit to the factory sat nav.
It's the Kenwood TMC adapter for the DV3200 (Which is the un-subaru'd model number of our sat nav)

If the plug's already there, might try and track one down and give it a crack. Would love to have traffic on the factory unit!
