First Gen Sedan Sunroof water leak fix and controller fix.
Hi all
First here is a link to a guy that's documented the water leak fix before, very good with pics.
http://caverpilot.com/cars/how-to-remov ... headliner/
I also had problems with the sunroof working intermittently and having to bang on the roof (at the back passenger side) to get it to work sometimes.
After a lot of mucking about with replacing relays etc I found it was the two "chips" (for use of a better word) had bad contacts on some of the pins. These "chips" can move and vibrate.
Once I re-soldered the "chips" I then hot glued them together and to the board so they could not move.
Tested out well, can be knocked moved etc and the sunroof still works.
Bit Blury!! the ones all in a row are the faulty connections.

BTW the I did put "remote" relays in to test the system(had some regular SPDT relays) but have put back in the original ones.
Lucky for me the car has not been required and have had it all in pieces in the shed for weeks.
Next is to re-glue headlining material back and put headlining etc back in.
