raising my Liberty

[2 inches of slop?!]

Hi guys just bought myself a liberty wagon, the rear shocks need replacing and I would like to get a bit more ground clearance all up.
A few questions, then.
I dont wanna spend heaps of cash on aftermarket stuff (I'm not completely adverse to it though ) , but whats my best bet for the new shocks?
If the stock suspension set up has enough movement to safely raise up a bit then I might get some of those, but if not what do yall recommend?
Is it a necessary to get new springs/etc etc to properly raise it?
Should I just try find some Outback shocks? Cause they're a bit higher

I'm sure I'll think of plenty more questions soon haha

If I was in you boat I would go the outback suspension as any stock suspension does not have any height adjustment. I bought.BC coilovers to raise everything about an inch so the wife.can drive it with out dragging the body on everything

P.s its the springs that set the height and not the shocks

Don't the outbacks have other unique suspension arms to keep things where they should be. Most things will then be at differing angles from stock so longer/shorter items would be needed aswell. Look at all the parts that are needed to make everything right for a 'well done' lowered car, and do the opposite of what they have done.
And don't compare to hori bob round the corner who just took a grinder to his springs, those are the kinda jobs that generally end up with sloppy handling and unknown items put under pressure where they eventually fail at the worst possible time
