Cleaning Leather Seats etc

Postby Egg » Fri May 23, 2008 6:46 pm

Just wondering what people are using to treat the leather seats with?

I saw these armour all leather wipes but it looks a bit dodgy. Wondering if there is a cream type application or something better?

Interested to see what everyone elses is using.

Autoglym. Looks the business. Goes the distance. Easy to buy.

Wouldn't mind trying the Zaino... for the leather smell. But it's 1/3 more expensive than Autoglym, then add freight for an online purchase... I couldn't be bothered yet.

Cheers,
Deucer.

Nope. Natural oils are good for leather. Without it, the leather will dry out and crack... just like lady skin (men don't need moisturiser y'know).

Most of the quality brands of leather conditioners for cars have a UV protectant included. I've noticed the leather conditioners designed for indoor furniture do not. Makes sense I suppose.

I'm going to start using the Autoglym on my leather lounge now. It conditions well, looks good and will protect the chair that's in the sun for part of the day.

Cheers,
Deucer.

hey all

I just did the spec b leather front and back using meguires gold class leather wipes. Just wipe over and then wipe off with a clean rag
Results are fantastic and pretty cheap
I will only do monthly at most
Very happy

It's not much more expensive than some of that dodgy stuff, and I have had a bottle for the past year and still half full.

So for me to spend $30 every 18 months to keep my interior smelling like leather and being nice to be in, is worth every cent.

Used the armourall stuff, smells like sh&%
