exhaust note

hi everyone. was discussing exhaust note with a mate who has an 07gtb. his car has a distinctive boxer rumble. where as my 05gt is kinda droneym birth have 3 inch turbo back. not sure on headers though. any ideas as to why this could be? mine is auto as well. compared to his manuel

equal length headers in 2.0 litre with twin scroll turbo

unequal length in the 2.5's

ah cheers so replacing headers will give the same note. also I have a 04 sti motor

if you have kept the same headers/turbo setup it won't change

sorry poor choice of words. if I get some UEL headers It should change note to a more boxer rumble
