MY06 Headlight Condensation

Now that I've found the right sub forum to post this in, I have a problem.

My drivers side headlight in my MY06 is full of condensation, there's clearly a busted seal on it somewhere.
Does anyone have a guide on how to pull apart a headlight and re-do the seals? Is this even possible?
I'm pretty much broke from buying the car, and I'd prefer not to have to replace the light.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Very easy to pull the headlight apart

Quite a number of us have done it to paint the inside of the headlight black and/or install angel eyes

The trickiest part is getting the headlight out (removal of the front bumper) which really is quite easy

The headlight is designed to be taken apart so it's just a matter of removing the screws and then heating up the seal and prying it apart

I'll see if I can find a DIY for you, all you need is some spare time and a heat gun ($30 from bunnings) or a hairdryer (not ideal but works)

I never even considered painting the backing of the lights... Might be worth doing while I have them apart. Two birds with one stone.

To hijack this thread - my headlights on a pre-facelift gen 4 r-b have a bit of buildup on/in them - the plastic is sort of cloudy. Any idea whether pulling them apart would mean I could somehow clean this off?

Thanks - been exploring further and sounds like I need to get a super-find sanding/buffing kit to get rid of it.
