Noob question:
Is there a way to jump start a facelifted 4gen without taking off the engine cover?
I was trying to jump start my Liberty earlier and I couldn't find any exposed metal brackets to attach the negative to ground it. Ended up just attaching it to the battery.
Cheers.

Just attach to battery then. That's how I've always jump started all my cars (unfortunately I have had to all too often

)

I've jump started a bunch of times but attaching the negative cable to one of the nuts that hold the passenger side front strut in place.

Positive to positive
Negative (on good battery) to random solid bit of exposed metal

Which bit do you use?

The engine block has a knob of metal at the front-middle specifically for attaching the ground jumper cable. See your owners manual for specific info.
