Mini android PC for car, with Mcintosh head unit

Postby lump_a_charcoal » Thu Jan 09, 2014 9:56 am

I wanted to get some ideas regarding my plan...

I want to use Dash Command (on android), but have it show up on my Mcintosh screen.
So, my plan is to use a small android PC, with Wifi connected to the OBD dongle, to send the output to the screen using the component cables already installed.

A) Would this work?
B) Is a product available?
C) Do I need to do the Navhack to have an image appear while driving?

Image aside, how would you control the PC/android thing?

Um...

Not sure to be honest.

I guess I was hoping I could configure it to just run, and plug a monitor in to it to set it up initially.

EDIT - so I guess your question kinda pushed me towards a cheap tablet with a video output...

EDIT 2 - Maybe I could use my old Galaxy S2, along with this - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Micro-USB-5pin- ... 2584e4ea61
