CDs Jammed MacIntosh - How do you physically remove?

Hello,

I have removed the head unit and now have the stack of CDs visible. I cant see how to remove the stack or individual CDs. There are four small screws at the top of cylinders that appear to be what holds the stack plates. Is this the key to removing them? Images below...

You wouldn't be able to power it up while it's disassembled just to see if you can spot what is causing the jam?
And maybe assist it to eject with your hands while you press the eject button?

Obviously only if it would be safe to do so.

Hi Surge,

No that's not possible as the face of the unit needs to come off to get inside the stacker. I have managed to remove the CDs but the same sound occurs and I cant load CDs. The same problem occurs. It seems the mechanism or cogs that operate the mechanism have failed in some way.
