Gen 4 Bulb Guide

Postby mynameisdaniel » Wed Dec 04, 2013 9:12 pm

Please see below for reference on what bulbs are needed for your gen 4 liberty. Hopefully this covers all models. If there's a variation I've missed out please let me know below so I can complete the list.

I will expand on this list gradually, with recommendations on bulbs and suggestions on what styles fit/work best for upgrades.

Any install guides for reference can be linked (or post it as a comment) and I'll add it to the second post.

The third post will be for FAQ's.

Please feel free to use this thread for any questions you have that are relevant. Any errors, please let me know.

Frequently Asked Questions

Postby mynameisdaniel » Wed Dec 04, 2013 9:13 pm

Can I install HID lights in my non-HID headlights?
Yes, but to meet ADR HID lights require projectors, auto-levelling and headlight washers so it won't be legal.

How do I tell if I have HID lights standard?
HID lights were only available on some facelift models, including all Spec B, all tbSTi models, GT premium models and possibly others. These headlights can be identified by the chrome rectangular headlight washer on the bottom corner of the headlight, nearest to the grille.

I broke the bulb retaining clip on my pre-facelift low beam, what can I do?
This is a part of the headlight assembly so the entire headlight needs to be replaced. Some people have managed to secure the bulb using wire and other methods.

I feel like reference needs to be made to the fact that pre-fl have very fragile bulb retaining brackets.. That one pops up every now and then.

Thanks Sean! Saves me measuring :P

Yeah I've seen that a few times Zach, is it the low beam or high beam that tends to do it?

Will that be W5W (T10) on all wagons then?

Thanks Daniel! Used this to order myself LED replacements for the number plates.

There are some bulbs missing that i'm trying to figure out what they are (haven't pulled apart the assembly yet)

They basically are Green/Red ones that come on when passengers (don't) have their seatbelts on which is near the sunroof controls.

I’d recommend Blingworks over your side of town for bulbs etc.
Got my silvered turns and mega bright reverse leds there.
