Hey, Im trying to paint these panels and im having trouble removing them, the gray one on the door seems to be attached with some sort of plastic rivets? and the middle panel unclips on one end but I cant seem to get the rest unclipped without fearing of snapping it.... anyone else removed these before and have any tips????

Centre console panel is taken out by upclipping at the end closest to the gear shifter, and 2 screws at the other end, in the centre compartment (under the thin piece of carpet looking stuff)...

As for the door part, I don't know if you can actually remove that? To remove the handle itself you basically just pry it up from the bottom edge. Feels like you're gonna break it... Hah..

For the door bit you need to take the whole door trim off and undo the handle first(fom the inside),I believe...

Well I just wanna take off that little top piece of the centre console and not the whole thing, the part around the drink holder part. And it unclips easily from one end but then it wont seem to unclip at all from the other so i think i might need to take the whole thing off to get underneath it.

And yea i had vinyl but i just find it looks tacky so im painting it with Silver Metallic & Metalic Bronze paints, I'll show you the finished product when im done. Its coming up well so far.

Yeah just take the whole centre console out, it's really easy to take out, will make it easier to figure out how to remove the other part.

Sounds good, good luck with it, looking forward to pics :)

Talking about centre consoles, anyone know how to fix the arm rest lid that no longer locks? I saw at least 3 broken ones when i was looking at buying mine. Seems like a common problem.
Sorry for the hijack

yeah, but none of them seem to anymore haha.

You'll notice a little squeeze trigger thing on the front of the lid.

Only fix is to replace I believe... and then it will just break again... Its pretty rare to be in working order.
