hey guys,

i have a set of Rota Gravels, and usually the centre caps a pretty hard to put in but for some unknown reason my front centre caps just fall out on their own weight thats how loose they are!!! the rears are fine though..

iv inspected the cap and its made of plastic, there isnt any sign of cracks or bent clips (and all clips are accounted for and still intact)

i was thinking of smearing some silicon on the clips but unsure if this will work...

and im not to keen on paying $60 for 4x new ones when these ones look fine.

cheers Nick

Out of curiosity have you tried putting the front ones in the rear and the rear ones in the front?

Find your self a center punch jack the car up remover the cap look to see where the cap has been touching the wheel center then punch as many holes as it takes so that the plastic cap holds on . Punching holes will increase the surface area so the cap has something to hold onto . Save the silicon for kirens ass

MMM ok there is a hole about 60mm dia and 30mm deep in the center of the mag this is where the cap fills the hole ok ? this hole is a little to big to hold the cap that's why it falls out ok?

If you run the center punch around the inside of the hole the little volcano's that the punch makes in bore will give something for the cap to hold on to OK? :D
