The bulbs are 5w. Check the led bulbs that you've bought. I did the same thing.

Yeah. The ones I eventually got ended up being too large to fit in te hole in the headlight. But I made them fit because they were the only ones I could find that were 12v 5w bayonet type, and I was getting sick of it!

The other led globes you bought, you may be able to use them to replace your reverse lights.

They take bayonet globes which are tricky to find but I use a bayonet T10 adapter. You can buy them on eBay for about $5 or something that's what I used and I used the T10 LEDs they are much brighter

I don't mean to BUMP such an old thread.. But I seem to be having a few very similar issues.

I'm new to the site and i'm a new liberty owner.. So yes I am abit of a noobie. and I also own a 2001 subaru liberty heritage 2.5L

I am trying to replace my parking lights with these lights which I bought recently (link below)

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/13-LED-12-V- ... 384&_uhb=1

However the lights won't work at all once I place them in. When I changed the left light and turned the parkers on, it wouldn't work at all. However the right bulb (which is the original liberty one) works fine. SO, there is nothing wrong with the fuse or anything. When I then replaced the right parker thinking maybe something is wrong with the left socket, the right one didn't work either.

So I have no idea what the hell is going on. Can someone PLEASE HELP ME!! thanks

EDIT: I received 3 leds, and all 3 did not work. So I doubt the fault is in the led.

The polarity might be wrong. When using T10 you can just flip the bulb. But not with a bayonet.

To test this, you could see if it's easy to swap the pos(+) and neg(-) wires going to the bayonet fitting, then reinsert the bulb.

But I'm not sure how easy that would be...

Yep, that ended up being the problem.

I used 2 other wires and held them in the globe holder and touched the positive and negative on the globe. Tried it both ways to see if it was going to work at all. And it lit up when i reversed the connection using the external wires!

So (with abit of force thinking im going to ruin everything) I pulled out the wires and it turns out they just clip in. I put them in reverse and it's all good

Thanks
