Debadge 07 liberty wagon

Postby scoobielibertywagon » Fri Sep 21, 2012 7:57 am

I want to remove the "liberty" badge off the back of my 07 liberty wagon. Ha anybody done it? Can I just remove te letters by hand or do I need a razor blade? I want to try and keep them all in tact. At there an holes behind the letters?

Cheers

just use a small stanley knife be careful not to scratch the paint and they will come off easy 1 by 1 then use some sticky stuff remover to get rid of the residue

 Please don't take a stanley knife to your cars paintwork!

I have never done it myself but I thought the process involved heating up the badge (to soften the glue) and then using fishing line or similar behind the badge to remove it..

Mate I've done it.

Get a hair dryer (not a heat gun, to hot!) wave the dryer over it for a while them grab some FISHING LINE and run it under the letters and slide it up and down in a cutting like action.

Good luck.

Hey, I know this is a few weeks old but oh well.
I rebadged my Wrx and about to do the liberty. it was VERY easy and in no way hurt the paint.
I used a hair dryer to soften the adhesive, then tooth floss to cut between the badge and paint. A credit card to scrape majority of the adhesive left behind the eucalyptus oil to remove the remainder grime. Nothing here is harsh enough to damage anything.
