Reverse lights staying on

Postby N8Bain » Mon Sep 17, 2012 2:03 pm

I need some help/advice with my reverse lights.

When i reverse into a parking space or anywhere and turn the car off, leaving it in reverse, the lights remain on. I usually notice and put it back in first.

Last night however i got off a 12 hr shift at midnight to find the battery completely dead because i'd left it in reverse - not fun!

I'm not exactly sure but it may have only started doing this after i installed some LED tail lights and the associated flasher module. The reverse lights are separate to the rest but it may have caused a problem somewhere in the circuit.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Did you try putting the stock lights back in?

If so it's the wiring to the lights, if not then its the aftermarket crap.

Also, try parking it in 1st all the time.
Built not bought, it's a way of life.
