Timing belt, how do I know its on the way out?
You're opinions.
I just bought a Lib with 301,000kms on the clock with no service history on paper or log books. I know the timing belt has to be replaced every 100,000 kms or so but I don't know the condition of the current one.
Is there any sign it gives you that its on the way out? or should I just pay out the $500 that my mechanic is going to charge me to pull the front off and just look at it and see what kind of condition it is in. Crazy I think forking out the 500, I don't really know how to do it myself.
