Hi, just joined. whereabouts on the vin plate will I find the info that will tell me what series my Liberty is? Need a new front bumper..
It's a Gen3 MY02

I tried that vin decoder site but after decoding the first 5 symbols, the others didn't correspond with the example. I have uploaded a photo of my vin plate and the bumper.

Give Subaru a call and they'll tell you everything you need to know about your car. I rang them before I bought my current ride and they were able to tell me a whole lot of stuff including colour, model year, warranty claims, if it was still under extended warranty, if it was listed as a write-off. I just kept asking them questions and they kept telling me what they knew.

You could also try asking around here what bumper you need.
There are a lot of guys around who know a lot about Liberty's.

Well that's what I wrote this post for. Where then is a good place on this forum to ask this question? I will give Subaru a call though.

That bumper is showing as Liberty RX 2.5i

I gave them a call and it turns out there was only series 1 and 2 for the Gen3 Liberty models. I have a series 2 bumper but there are different bumpers for the wagons, GX and B4's. I need one to suit my RX model. They quoted me $566.30 for a bare unpainted bumper, for anybody else reading this who is interested.
