I have recently discovered that my a/c belt slipped off and burnt through the housing cover close to the a/c belt!
Something was burning as I was driving and it sure wasnt the clutch!
I had a look at the engine all the pulleys and say that the crank pulley was "off orbit" slightly and resulted in a bit of a wobble.
The wobble has resulted in the crank pulley grinding into the housing cover a bit.
I removed all belts, degreased lightly and brushed out the pulleys and surrounding areas of the shaved off bits of plastic and went and got a new a/c belt from supercheap.
After assuming that this belt was too long for the a/c pulley and tensioning pulley, I re attached the
powersteering/alternator belt and brought it back to tension. After starting the car, the crank pulley wobble has
dissappeared but im unsure if this is because it is being supported by the tension of the p/s + alt belt.
Im worried that when I get a replacement a/c belt that it will cause the crank pulley to wobble once more and go through this whole saga again
Ive attached a few pics to see what you guys think.
Is my replacement a/c belt too big? or am I just retarded and have tried to put it on wrong
Does anyone know if I need a new crank pulley and obviously housing cover?

Photo 3 - The new a/c belt. Too big?

Cant find much about this in the LegacyGT or these forums
Thanks for the advice in advance guys
