Hey guys how do i remove the back shelf parcel shelf



Also anyone know what this plate is for ?

The plate covers where the mcintosh sub sits

To remove the back shelf you need to take off the C pillar covers. Be careful as there are curtain airbags there.

Also remove the high mount stop light. Push it towards the rear of the car and then lift up.

Once these have been removed, the parcel shelf is held in by a few clips and in the back left and right corners by the C pillar. To free the back left and right, you can either remove the C pillar guts, or do as I do and push down on the parcel shelf in that spot while pushing the C pillar plastic towards the outside of the car.

Once all of the above are free, you should be able do pull up on it and it will pop out.

my guess is to fix one of those annoying rattles it causes, whether the sub is in the boot or is the mac one.
