Heat shield

Hi guys I'm trying to install a new dump pipe to a my06 liberty and I'm having trouble getting out the heat shield, I've undone all the bolts but can't get it out past the tmic..
I there any tricks or do I have to take of th tmic

Take the TMIC off, makes the job so much easier and only takes a couple of mins

I couldnt imagine doing it without removing the tmic!!
Remove it. it'll make life a hell of a lot easier. Dumps on 04-06's suck due to the engine mount.

Do you guys put your heat shield back in... As it doesn't fit goin to have to cut abit out

Cut it down a bit to fit it back over
