have all power window buttons auto

Postby Brunsy3.0 » Mon Jan 23, 2012 10:29 pm

Hey all

can all the power windows buttons be auto like the driver's window?

is it as simple as changing the actual switch as it has a distinct click to have it automatically work

or is it more complicated, different relays/wiring etc.?

if anyone has any information on this it would be much appreicated

cheers

Are you game enough to pull apart the window switch panel to have a look... don't think anyone has changed it before.

i wish they were actually more controllable.. its irritating trying to get the drivers one at the exact height where it can both cool your down and not be too windy in your face.

Yes, it can be done. As a matter of fact, I'll be doing it soon.

I'll be seriously considering that.
It is one of the things I miss that my last car used to have.

good find, keep us all posted if you can

only thing i think i'd find annoying would be if you are to open the window just a crack whilst driving, the tap of the switch will cause the window to open fully and then you will have to muck around winding it back up, a small annoyance i know,

i'd just like it if i could just change the actual switch out to an "auto" switch as in for the driver's window so it would work the same as the driver's window, but that's just me, im a little fussy haha

I think there's certainly a safety issue here. No car manufacturer would want "auto up" on windows that children could play with.
