Install a 12V power outlet in the boot of an Outback

Hey guys and girls,

I have recently picked up a MY07 Outback and am loving it. However it seems to be missing the 12V power outlet in the boot - I had one of these in my last car and found that I used it all the time. Does anyone have any info about installing one of these, or any experience with parts and pricing etc? I have had a pretty good look around but am drawing a blank.

Surely its got a 12v hiding away somewhere in the cargo area?? I find it surprising that it wouldn't....

Do a search on legacygt.com - US site. I used a piece there to do my outback a few years ago. All the connections are tucked away under the left side trim panels, and there is a marked place for the socket to go in the panel also, IIRC.

you don't really wanna be using any oll 12v. If you wanna do it properly splice into cig lighter at front or run new supply
