Gen 4 door trim

Postby Harrybob » Sun Aug 21, 2011 9:03 pm

Does anyone know if the door trims for all gen 4 liberty models are the same?

I have some damage with the rear door trims and was looking at seeing if the wreckers had any, otherwise would anyone know if an interior retrimmer be able to fix them by retrimming them?

Depends what/where the damage is. If its in the vinyl covering and not the material/leather insert, then you can damage vinyl welded.

More info on the damage would be better.

Sedans/wagons same rear door trim.

Post up a photo and we should be able to help. FWIW I was charged about $100 for a rear door trim from a wrecker.

Finally got some photos.

Do you think this can be vinyl welded or should I just try and find replacements?

Just get a new door trim. That will take care of all the damaged areas. A wrecker here in QLD sold me one for about $100. It's not too difficult to replace yourself if you can't get one locally and need to ask an interstate place to ship it to you.

Thats a replacement job IMO.

To minimise the marks though, you can hit them with a hot hairdryer. It actually slighlty shrinks the area pulling/stretching the mark out.
