Sound can be achieved in many ways just depends how big a sound you want. Performance comes with upgrading your exhaust too so good to think about it from all angles.

Just sound? change out your rear muffler to a straight through, cheap and effective plus much better than the stock restrictive ones. Then you can increase the size of the pipe from the muffler/s to the cat and even remove the centre muffler/resonator to give you big sound and flow.

The last stage is the headers which you can also get better flowing designs, usually compliments some engine modification and intake etc, this could be the most expensive part considering its not really a case of lopping off your muffler and welding on a new one. The uneaven headers thing results in the typical boxer rumble but I'm under the impression you cant really achieve this without a single scroll turbo (please correct me someone if need be  )

So lots of options depending on budget of course, hope that gives you an idea!

Catback exhaust with a decent muffler is the best bang for buck way to do it, yes you will get some boxer rumble. Steer away from tiny mufflers or cannons as you will get drone.
