Remove gear knob off AUTO

Hi guys,
Just wondering how to take off the gear knob on an auto. Surely its just a twist? Doesn't seem to be working for me.

silver trim bit on teh bottom of it should slide down teh shaft and reveal a grub screw i think (is like this on gen5)

cant imagine its any different between the pre and post facelift but mine was just a twist job...
couple of turns and off it comes and then on with the new...

Identical to mine - it's just a twist job. Don't be afraid to break it, had to put a bit of muscle into it!
