Adjust the rear hatch/door/tailgate on a wagon

Ther rear door ie the boot, is squeeking and rateling in my MY08 wagon. is there anyway to adjust it? On my rex hatch there rubber stoppers that you could turn to make longer/shorter and would stop any noises. the liberty has fixed rubber stoppers. any ideas?

Are you sure its the tailgate? I have had noises there, but traced down to loose stuff in the spare wheel well. Check for the striker or the latch body being loose in any way - grap and try to move.

When I push on the back tailgate it squeeks and creaks. I checked everything under the floor, I even drove arround the block with the spare and all the bits out. still squeaked and rattled.
