eyelid install

Postby bradh » Wed Oct 20, 2010 8:30 pm

ok so i got some nice carbon fibre eyelids and a roll of the 3M double sided tape which came supplied. so my question is how much tape do i need - do i just line the edge of the eyelid with the tape, or basically the whole back of the eyelid? does the placement of the tape on the eyelid actually matter, i am guessing around the edge of the eyelid is definitley needed, but what about the rest of the back?

Depending on the brand of the eyelids, most of the time only the edges of the eyelid actually make contact with the headlights. So just line the tape along the entire edge around the eyelid and you should be fine.

Otherwise if you're feeling a bit less secure, you could roll the tape so that it fills the middle bits, or even use a bit of glue to secure it in the middle.
