Hey guys ,

Ok so i have bourght a RX JDM front bumper and fog lights to go onto my GX Liberty. How are the Fog lights wired in to the RX stock? are they just run of a separate switch or are they ment to be wired in through the high beam or headlight switch?

Which JDM type did you get? The one like whats in my sig below (with the big spot lights in the middle) or just the regular RX-style front bar?

It is Just the RX Style Bar No middle spot lights.

How is it wired?

Separate switch on the dash as per the law. Can only be turned out in conjunction with park, low or high beams.

Do you know where i can get the stock switch from an RX for the driving lights? there should be a blank in the dash for it right?
So your saying they driving lights are isolated by a separate switch but can only turn on when the parkers or high / low beam switch on?

I have the stock switch, however its off the model which had the big spot lights in the middle like in my sig. Its called "FOG SELECT" and was used to select which one illuminated. So not too sure about its compatibility with yours. If you find out if its compatible, I'll be happy to sell it to you as I no longer need it since selling my Gen2.

And the answer to your other question is yes - yes as per regulations.

Thanks for the info mate,

Yes it would be great if you could sell me the switch. if it just has 2 settings for 2 sets of lights then it should be fine to just run the 1 stock RX set thru the switch.

The outermost globes which aren't illuminated are 'blanked' out in Aus spec Liberty's. In the JDM versions, they are a 'cornering' light. For example, if you turn your left indicator on (whilst the headlights are on), the left globe will illuminate. And the same for the other side...

Wiring that function in is very difficult, however there are some guides posted on RSLiberty.org and SubyClub.com

I opted not to do that as I don't like the cornering function. Instead I put an indicator globe in there and linked it to the indicators:

I'm happy to sell you the switch. Its good because its a stock switch so it'll fit right in and illuminate when you turn the lights on. Send me a PM and we can sort it out.
