As Mikee said, do you know ANYONE who has encountered issues with either?

My mate bought a car from interstate and was to have it shipped down. It then failed the rwc so the seller had to restore the aftermarket HID back to stock. Shipping had to be rebooked etc it was a pain.

Funnily enough the rwc did not pick up on the non-airbag wheel which was fitted!

The car was purchased in QLD, it failed the RWC in that state. He was trying to ship it back to VIC.

The stupid thing is as well, is that the car *is* fitted with HIDs from factory, but when it is complianced in Australia they had to remove them and fit halogens (due to lack of washers and/or self levellers, I'm not sure which).

The only problem is when the original owner in QLD fitted HIDs he used an aftermarket kit which stuck out like dogs balls. Now the car is in VIC my mate has sourced the factory HID kit so it blends right in and he doesn't have any issues.

Shane it's interesting you mention that the JDM GTB had halogens in place of the factory HID globes. When this Skyline landed in VIC with the halogens in the factory HID headlamps, they were absolutely useless and didn't light up anything. It astounds me why during compliancing they would have to change to a globe that was totally unsuitable for the headlamp.
