I cant have a car for more than 3 years, I get rather bored of it and want something new... in fact lately a car has only lasted me on average about 12 months, the liberty is nearing 12 months but will have it for at least 2 years (as its leased for 2yrs) - thats good for me!
Yep I spent the first 4 years doing mods, then the rest just maintaining it. It was comfortable, handled well and suited every situation I threw at it plus took it on many interstate holidays. After the first 4 years it was not practical/cost effective to sell it and start again with another car and having to mod it again. Plus I preferred to spend all my disposable income on partying and travelling.
Worked out well in the end. Bought the car for $16,500, drove it hard for over 230,000kms, spent about $5K on mods and I drove the car to it's total and utter breakdown, auto had blown, engine was eating oil badly, paint on most panels was totally stuffed, and I still made back $1500 from selling the salvage and mods removed from it. I still have the stereo from it too which is in good condition and which I have transferred into the Liberty.
