Thanks tek

oh snap.. looks like I was asking for it then.. :(

Dome light was on and 1 door was open, wasn't playing the music too loud :(

and also, it is reasonable to assume that I can't really go to a drive in cinema anymore? I went 2 days ago and it drained my battery too!

If you have already drained your battery twice then you have already reduced its maximum capacity (each time you drain it, it kills it a little bit until eventually it hardly holds any power).

Once you fit a fresh/larger battery you should go easy on it. Or better yet fit a voltmeter so you can keep an eye on it if you are at the driveins etc. When the voltage is lower than about 12.2V you will start having trouble starting the engine especially if it's cold. Another trick if you have a stock stereo and you wanna conserve power at the driveins, is to fade the sound to front speakers only.

The dome light though is what? 5 watts? That light alone isn't going to kill your battery after an hour or two.

FOr an 08 car, this is a bit early to be failing. I had a fail to start in my Outback once, when it was less than 1 year old - had to call RACV, but of course it started when they arrived. I reported it at next service, they said they found a failing cell and replaced it.
Try that....
