Car is getting serviced tomorrow so I'll ask Subaru to check it out, I am fairly confident it didn't happen until I changed to new 6000k globes from an American company. Maybe they don't fit perfectly? Although doesn't seem to be any movement from trying to move the back of the globe by hand.

Thanks.

I should say it's not so much going over big bumps, just going over minor bumps in the road will cause it to happen, in fact speed humps etc don't seem to do it. Also it doesn't happen every time, maybe 20% of the time it happens.
The light kind of shakes a little sideways and a little up and down, but the globes are in firm so....dunno. Perhaps it is something to do with the suspension like smythie said?

his car came as stock with HID's though so I doubt it's a HID globe in halogen projector issue. Maybe just the aftermarket globe not built correctly.

It seems to be very random when it happens. I didn't notice it once driving on the weekend.
Oh well it doesn't bother me anyway. As for it being bad globes, I'm not sure. I bought the same globes Arith used to use, so unless he had the same problem...

So it looks like I'm going to have to do the same with mine re: epoxy-ing the screw into one of the headlights where the plastic threaded part has disintegrated. Can anyone inform how to remove the headlights from an 04 3.0R-B?

I gave it a shot by removing all visible bolts / clips (top of headlight and around the grille) but the lights wouldn't pull out. Am I missing something?

unfortunately you have to remove the grill and the whole front bumper to get the headlights out.

fairly simple to do tho,

4 clips for the grill, then slides out
1 clip behind the plastic liner at the top of the wheel well on both sides
and i think its 4 clips along the bottom of the bumper
then it should just pull forward and come off.
