Id rather stock intake without resonator and a new decent filter then 10m of ghetto corrugated hose that looks like it would flap all around the engine bay

Very constructive Hamish!

As I eluded to originally, the purpose of this exercise was give the intake note a bit of a lift, get the engine breathing a bit better minus the resonators and hopefully get slightly better fuel economy. While stainless/alloy does look cool it's something I don't really want in my engine bay as I think it looks out of place, particularly on resale for a NA engine.

So far this experiment is giving me ticks for all boxes!

How have you lads got your intakes organised?

Nice job. How do you find it so far Jason?

Also, from what I've been reading here, does the exposed filter mean that it is no longer legal?

In NSW you need an airbox if you have a pod filter; it needs to be covered, I don't know about VIC...

I kept the same intake but took out the ressy.
2x 90deg pipes plus joiners and it lines straight up to the stock parts.

If that ag pipe suits your needs, then great!
But I'm sorry, it really looks terrible!!
