Fix interior arm rest

Postby deeps » Fri Mar 12, 2010 3:16 pm

So when I bought the car, the arm rest was like this

Really disappointing as it was only 1 month out of warranty, so the previous owner really could have got it fixed

Anyway, any ideas on the bet way to tackle this ?

I doubt Subaru would have classd that as 'reasonable wear and tear' for it to be covered under warranty. Best bet would be to approach a wreckers and get an entire door skin.

Looks like a Dog's been chewing on it or something. No idea how it's happened.

Actually, you may have come close to that - looks like a dogs claws from standing up on it waiting for the owner to come back.

Oh yes, I meant it is the drivers door BECAUSE it has a pocket :)

My WTF was wondering how that happened to the drivers door... I could perhaps see a dog in the back or passenger seat, but to have that much abuse on the drivers armrest...

Weird...

I'd say you're right on the money. Probably left dog in the car with the window open and it'd sit with its front paws on the armrest.

Warranty wouldn't cover it in any case.

...and from the look of it, it wasn't a small dog either.

Deeps, give a couple of wreckers a call, you never know your luck.

It's quite obviously midgets. Those little suckers have got into your interior and given it a darn good going over. My recommendation would be stop teasing their sisters, they can't help it.
